George and Louise are both sweet black chicks. The Mama hatched them and they are almost identical twins. I have a lot of black chicks hatch and I have a lot of black hens. I think it all goes back to my Black Copper Marans roosters. I still have 2 roosters who descended from those roosters and they seem to have pretty dominant genes.
These two chicks have names. I don’t usually name them this young because there is a lot of loss in the chicken yard when they are young. However, since these two babies and mama got moved up to the East Side, to a deeeeluxe apartment in the sky, there was just no way after singing the song to them, they could not be George and Louise.
Still identical and running all over the big chicken lot so we have to wait to see if the names work when they are older. We could end up with George and Lamont or Louise and ???????.
